My wonderful stylist Chaz Haucke at http://www.facebook.com/mhaucke, is putting a portfolio together for her Redken Artist Audition. Chaz is a stylist at Garbo’s Salon and Spa-Regency, Omaha, NE. You can check the group page out at http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=54217746297&ref=ts.
So, I took our beautiful model, Amanda, out for a little fun. As we drove around to look for a place to shoot, we came across this amazing yellow (old) house with a bunch of trees around it. It reminded me of the conversation I was having on Facebook with Marc Eric today http://www.markeric.com/. He is such an amazing photographer!!!! He had gone out looking for some inspiration (as we all do from time to time), found a spot, posted the photo, and the photo inspired me as well. You may not be able to see the front of this old yellow house (that is what caught my eye), as it had a “No trespassing” sign near, but Amanda could not believe the find as well, and we stood our distance. She said, “You really have a good eye and how did you see that?’ I told her this is the reason why I do what I do. It is the simple beauty of an old yellow house that draws me in. It is the character of this old yellow house that will bring me back. We will be doing an extended shoot again soon so keep checking back.

So I had an eventful day. I did a shoot for my sister Malleri Matejka today with Baby Lynden and Lucas in tow. Mom came along to laugh at all the fun we had. Lynden did not cooperate as much as we would have liked but it was fun and precious none the less. Babies just know blankets and obviously she has her favs. I love that lil angel….

Inspiration! Check out Sara Davidson, who has this amazing blog http://walktalkchewgum.com/. As I was reading her blog the other day, I realized I am missing some things in my life. I need to move on from the past completely and start doing the things I absolutely love.
I decided I was going to start quoting again, on the blog. I have been focused on it on my FaceBook http://www.facebook.com/tammy.mueckephotographer page but not on here. I have really lost touch with doing so many things, as I have said a few times before. I am grateful and thankful for so many things and people every day, but I do not say it out loud enough right now. I feel a little spread thin so I am going to try get things more organized now.
So, here is a quote I found today that fits how I feel. I will also be blogging random photos of the things I am grateful and thankful for, so keep an eye out.
Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow. – Melody Beattie
Below is my lil man! It is his first winter too. A snowflake landed in his eye while he was playing in the snow.
